Right and Obligation in House Ladder According to Law No.1 1974 on Marriage and Islamic Law

This article discusses the rights and obligations in a household based on Law No. 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage and the perspective of Islamic law. In the context of marriage, the rights and obligations between husband and wife are very important to maintain family harmony and welfare. This study discusses various aspects, including the division of tasks, livelihood, and individual rights in the household. Through a comparative approach, this article also identifies the differences and similarities between positive legal provisions and Islamic legal principles. The findings show that there are similarities in the objectives of maintaining justice and welfare, there are differences in the implementation and interpretation of rights and obligations in each legal system. Thus, a deep understanding of these rights and obligations is very important for married couples in building a household that is harmonious and in accordance with applicable legal norms.
